Location: 285 Queen st. On-site 5x per week. Other NCR locations may be required
Compensation: Expected hourly rate of $25.00 - $45.00 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and final contract pricing



Scope of Work / Tasks:
  • Prioritizes and leads the planning, design, and implementation of new and/or reconfigured physical workspace projects. Develops technical drawings and workspace layouts using design/architectural software to reflect proposed workspace layouts and reconfigurations, furniture and typical workspace details that comply with regulatory requirements, policies, codes and ergonomic principles.
  • Develop and review technical drawings, floorplans, and workspace layouts using design software, ensuring compliance with regulations, codes, policies, and ergonomic standards.
  • Consult with clients to assess workspace needs and analyze impacts on operations, space strategy, and corporate priorities.
  • Provide technical advice on design standards, space planning, and modern workplace concepts.
  • Manage furniture procurement, including budgeting, vendor coordination, evaluations, inventory, and liaison with procurement and building stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review project and furniture cost estimates; monitor scope, budgets, and financial impacts.
  • Collaborate within the Corporate Facilities Directorate team with the goal of delivering workspace optimization projects.
  • Support long-term space consolidation and optimization planning.

Mandatory:
M1 The bidder must demonstrate that the resources are graduates of an Interior Design or Architecture program.
The bidder must provide: A copy of the resource’s diploma/degree from an Interior Design or Architecture program.

M2 The bidder must demonstrate that the resources have recent* experience using AutoCAD to create, edit, and manage technical drawings for the creation of office space design.
The bidder must provide: Provide two (2) projects where the resources acquired this experience and the latest version of AutoCAD the resource has experience in.
The response must include:
• Project number
• Project name
• Client information
• Description of project to demonstrate the experience.

M3 The bidder must demonstrate that the resources have recent* experience in managing workspace reconfiguration projects.
The bidder must provide: The resource is to provide two (2) recent* examples of workspace reconfiguration projects managed.
The response must include:
• Project number
• Project name
• Client information
• Description of project to demonstrate the experience.

M4 The bidder must demonstrate that the resources have recent* experience in the design of workspaces that are accessible per the CAN/CSA Accessibility for the Built Environment manual and National Building code.
The bidder must provide: The resource is to provide one (1) project where the CAN/CSA Accessibility for the Built Environment manual and National Building code was applied.
