Role Overview

The Staff Accountant will handle a wide range of accounting functions across multiple entities, including accounts payable, expense reporting, reconciliations, and fixed asset tracking. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review weekly expense reports in Expensify, ensuring accurate coding, policy compliance, and timely processing.
  • Process and track vendor invoices per week via Bill.com.
  • Support month-end close activities including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account clean-up
  • Assist in organizing and categorizing fixed assets, including setup and ongoing maintenance.
  • Work across multiple QuickBooks Online entities, ensuring consistency and accuracy across financials.
  • Translate and reconcile multi-currency transactions for international vendors and employees.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to clarify expense coding, vendor setup, and approval processes.
  • Maintain strong communication with global team members across time zones and cultures.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline AP and expense workflows.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Expensify required.
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, multi-tab analysis).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high transaction volumes with accuracy.
  • Experience with multi-currency transactions and international vendor payments.
  • Clear, professional communication style — able to collaborate effectively with direct and straightforward global colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative; able to work independently in a remote, cloud-based environment.
  • Equivalent practical experience highly valued.
  • Passion for or connection to the live entertainment industry is a plus.
