As Interim Nursing Home Administrator, you'll assume full operational leadership of this premier skilled nursing community. You'll guide a talented team of department heads and clinical staff, stabilize operations, implement strategic initiatives, and position the facility for continued excellence. YOUR EXECUTIVE MANDATE

As Interim Nursing Home Administrator, you'll take command of all facility operations and strategic initiatives:

Leadership & Operations Management

  • Assume full operational leadership responsibility for the 5-star skilled nursing facility
  • Oversee and coordinate clinical, administrative, dietary, maintenance, and support departments
  • Manage department heads and staff teams
  • Make key operational decisions aligned with facility's customer service excellence mission
  • Maintain the facility's 5-star reputation for exceptional service and attention to detail
  • Ensure seamless daily operations across all facility areas with precision and accountability

Regulatory Excellence & Compliance

  • Maintain full compliance with CMS, state health department, and local regulations
  • Oversee survey preparation and regulatory inspections
  • Implement corrective action plans and remediate deficiencies
  • Ensure meticulous documentation and regulatory record-keeping
  • Monitor and enforce infection control and safety protocols
  • Maintain facility licensing and certifications

Financial & Fiscal Stewardship

  • Manage facility budget and operational expenditures
  • Oversee census development and revenue optimization
  • Monitor cost controls and fiscal efficiency
  • Optimize resource allocation for maximum care quality and operational efficiency

Staff Leadership & Culture

  • Evaluate and develop senior management team performance
  • Foster a positive team culture aligned with organizational values
  • Address personnel issues and implement performance management
  • Create an environment where quality care is the priority

Community Relations & Stakeholder Management

  • Build relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and community partners
  • Represent the facility's commitment to customer service excellence
  • Manage family relations and resident satisfaction with attention to detail
  • Coordinate community engagement activities
  • Maintain relationships with state/local agencies and regulatory bodies

Quality Assurance & Care Standards

  • Oversee clinical quality and resident care standards
  • Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and address concerns
  • Ensure infection prevention and control measures
  • Conduct facility inspections and audits
  • Drive service excellence across all departments

WHO WE'RE SEEKING

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in California with active, unencumbered licensure
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior living or skilled nursing facility leadership role
  • Proven expertise in CMS and state regulatory compliance
  • Strong track record of operational and financial management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents and families

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience with strategic planning and operational improvements

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Hourly Rate: $70-$75/hour (Contract Interim Engagement)

Benefits Structure: Interim contract position with per-diem and expense reimbursement as negotiated
