Morgan Hunter HealthSearch has an immediate opportunity for an Interim Director of Women's Health Service Line for a nearly 500 bed hospital in the Upper Midwest.

Overview: Nursing Leadership at the Director Level, Master’s Degree in Nursing required. Experience with advanced Special Care Nurseries required.

Responsibility for the following areas:

  • Labor & Delivery – 3150 Births/year
    • 12 Beds Newly Renovated
    • 3 ORs and Recovery Rooms
    • 6 Antepartum Newly Renovated
    • 4 Triage
  • Post-Partum – Two 28 bed units (ADC 25)
  • Special Care Nursery – 15 beds (ADC 8)
    • Currently Level II
    • Transitioning to Level III in the fall of CY2022
    • Newly renovated space
  • Family Birthing Center at additional campus – 500 Births/year
    • 9 LDRP Beds
    • 5 Special Care Nursery rooms

Each unit has a Clinical Nurse Manager assigned to oversee the day-to-day operations and staffing of the area. Overall vacancy rate is about 9% w/the use of a few remaining external traveler nurses (as we orient new hires).

Goals:

  • Lead Level III Special Care Nursery Designation – goal fall 2022
    • Interdisciplinary Team Training
  • Improve staff engagement & retention
  • Mentor new Clinical Nurse Managers (4)
  • Collaborate with physician leadership
  • Budget/Fiscal responsibility for operational and capital dollars
