We are seeking a seasoned Intellectual Property Partner with profound expertise in patent and trademark litigation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead patent and trademark litigation cases, orchestrating all phases from preliminary investigation to trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Develop and implement sophisticated litigation strategies to effectively manage cases and meet client goals.
- Collaborate with other partners and senior associates to provide top-notch intellectual property advice and solutions.
- Engage directly with clients to ensure their needs are understood and met with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain an active presence in relevant professional communities to keep abreast of changes in IP law and practice.
- Mentor junior lawyers and support their development in IP litigation and other legal competencies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of extensive experience in patent and trademark litigation within a law firm setting.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
- Holder of a Florida Bar membership or be eligible to become a member promptly.
- Deep expertise in engineering or computer science-related patent cases, further enriched by a relevant degree.
- Proven track record of managing complex IP cases and achieving beneficial outcomes for clients.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating significant litigation documents and IP transactional agreements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership in the Patent Bar is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to bring and grow portable business.
- Extensive knowledge of the technology sectors relevant to patents and IP laws.
- Recognized thought leadership in IP law, demonstrated through publications or public speaking engagements.
- Prior experience in leading a team of attorneys and paralegals.
- Strong familiarity with digital litigation tools and resources.
