Group Overview:
The current procurement contracts end in 2021. The renewal process for this procurement has started. An integral step of this process is to develop a successful Business Case Analysis (BCA) which analyzes all viable potential solutions and determines the best fit which satisfies the four principles of performance, value for money, flexibility and industrial benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing consultation and guidance to the design, implementation and evaluation of clients goods/services performance measures;
  • Conducting cost benefit analysis and life cycle costing (cost and estimate management);
  • Assisting the BCA team with the development and evaluation of sustainment business plans;
  • Conducting risk assessments and evaluating potential risk of sustainment business cases, including project and procurement risks;
  • Assisting in prioritization and assignment of identified sustainment risks
  • Assisting the BCA team with business analysis on make/buy decisions and supply chain options;
  • Assisting in the development and/or implementation of Risk Management Plans for various BCA cases;
  • Recommending alternative solutions, methodologies and strategies for risk mitigation and management;
  • Interacting with various internal and external stakeholders to understand key BCA concerns;
  • Providing guidance to the BCA team with regards to considering enterprise aspects of their business plan;
  • Assisting the BCA team with the development and preparation of bid and proposal packages;
  • Utilizing existing sustainment capabilities within the organization to achieve an optimal sustainment solution;
  • Developing and modifying business plans that will be incorporated into future BCA business cases.

Must have:

  • Must hold a valid Secret level Security Clearance, issued by CISD
  • University degree or College diploma in finance, commerce, business or economics (copy of proof must be provided)
  • 3+ years experience performing all of the following Business Case Analyst functions:
    • Preparing business case proposals;
    • Providing implementation and evaluation of goods and/or service performance measures;
    • Providing return on investment calculations for various business options; and;
    • Providing risk assessment registers with probabilities and estimated values
  • 3+ years experience performing at least 3 of the following 6 activities:
    • Validating Options Analysis of various business approaches;
    • Compiling cost benefit analysis and life cycle costing estimate management;
    • Compiling and modifying risk registers for projects in excess of $20 million dollars in value;
    • Validating business analysis on make/buy decisions;
    • Validating business analysis on supply chain options; or
    • Compiling bid and proposal packages
