Insurance Accounting Manager

What you will be doing

You will use your proven Property Casualty Insurance and Reinsurance accounting skills to deliver creative solutions and ongoing reporting for several privately held internal insurance entities. You will also manage standardizing and consolidating recurring accounting reporting and also contribute to the accounting of M&A entities.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or equivalent experience and education
  • 5 or more years of Property Casualty accounting experience.
  • Understanding of both primary and reinsurance accounting
  • Proven history of pulling required data to generate ongoing monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports.
  • Sensitivity to delivery schedules and internal client needs
  • Proven management skills extremely helpful. Demonstrated leadership skills if no prior management experience.
  • Solid MS Office skills
  • Understanding of SAGE Accounting Software and Quickbooks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform other accounting and reporting duties as required.
