The Instrumentation/Automation Engineer duties include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting instrumentation on all industrial equipment such as thermocoulples, flow meters, temperature probes, gas monitors. Calibrating such equipment as necessary as well. Working with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Planner to ensure routine PMs and calibration timelines are met for critical equipment. Maintaining instrumentation across all plant equipment. Working on plant PLCs (hardware and software) for plant troubleshooting and programming issues/changes. Working with Remote IO support for PLC troubleshooting and plant equipment enhancements. This position will predominantly work day time hours during the week. Additionally, this position must be open to off-schedule call-outs to the plant on nights and weekends due to unscheduled downtime of plant production and shipping equipment. Ability to effectively communicate plant needs and plan future plant upgrades with plant and company leadership as well as communicate well with vendors for as needed plant support.
Previous instrumentation experience in an industrial environment is a requirement. Previous automation experience with Allen Bradley and Honeywell PLCs is a requirement. Must show ability and dexterity to safely operate all phases of the description detailed above.
