Installation Technician

Low voltage public transit installation project

Start Date:
2/3/2025 (Safety Training Class last week of January)
Duration of Project: 13 weeks

SOW

  • Update the Vending Machines at approximately 16 stations
  • Update the Legacy TVM’s and install the new current Bill Note Recycler (BNR).
    • New Brackets
    • New Slides
    • New Cabling
    • New SW
    • New Firmware
    • The new Bill Note Recycler will be incorporated into an old machine – The footprint of the new unit is different so the upgrade entails the following:



Job duties will include:

Identifying correct electronic components and cables
Removal of old electronic components and cables
Installation of new equipment and components
Running new cables
Terminating connectors
Terminating to power sources
Securing wiring after work completed
Ensuring system powers up correctly
Assisting with troubleshooting if needed
Cleaning work areas

Skills required:

Low voltage electrical background preferred
Experience with electronic components
Experience with electrical connectors and terminations
Experience with hand and power tools
Experience running cables or wiring
Ability to work standing, bending, or crouching for long periods of time
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner
Must commit to entire length of projects
Must be reliable to show up on daily basis and be on time
Must have own tools

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
