Summary

A well-established international manufacturing and trading company is seeking a bilingual Inside Sales Representative to join its team in Irving, Texas. This position plays a key role in supporting day-to-day sales operations by coordinating customer orders, maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers, and ensuring accurate order processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional customer service by responding to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Process customer orders, quotations, sales orders, and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding order status, deliveries, and product-related inquiries.
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in the company's ERP/operating system.
  • Review Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and take appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Monitor customer purchase orders and ensure open orders and backlogs are properly maintained.
  • Prepare and maintain sales, shipping, inventory, and other operational reports.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to sales operations.
  • Review sales documentation and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with purchasing, logistics, accounting, and other internal departments to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Assist with general administrative duties and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written).
  • Associate degree, completion of at least two years of college coursework, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Previous customer service, sales support, administrative, or inside sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Logical problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to prepare business documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems or EDI processing is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
