Responsibilities
This position presents a unique opportunity for professional growth and career transition within our dynamic sales team.
The Inside Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in our organization, handling customer order processing, inventory management, and accounts receivable duties. Building and nurturing strong customer relationships will be a key focus, along with introducing new products to expand sales opportunities with existing customers.
This role requires an individual who is proactive, customer-centric, and driven to succeed in a sales- oriented environment and who has the ambition to transition into an Outside Sales Role.
- Assists in order processing, including answering sales calls, addressing customer concerns, and upselling/cross-selling products.
- Acquires in-depth product knowledge of systems to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
- Manages credit applications, accounts receivable, payment collections, and aged invoice reports.
- Handles order processing, invoicing, and shipment coordination.
- Prepares quotes, sales contracts, and credit terms for orders.
- Monitors and manages accounts receivable status, communicates with customers for payment collection, and distribute reports for overdue payments.
- Estimates delivery dates to customers by utilizing knowledge of vendor production and delivery schedules.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing customers, providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries.
- Responds promptly to customer inquiries, provides solutions, and recommends products.
- Conducts research to identify prospective leads and proactively reach out to them through various communication channels.
- Routes qualified opportunities to the appropriate Outside Sales representatives.
- Collaborates with the Outside Sales department to maintain and expand the customer base.
- Assists in creating effective advertisements to boost sales.
- Utilizes CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer data, and generate reports.
- Sustains sales activities, proposals, and database updates.
- Stays informed about competitors' activities and maintain up-to-date sales knowledge.
- Answers phone calls, convey messages and manages email correspondence.
- Enters and updates customer and sales data in accounting and CRM software.
- Records customers' payment information and maintains accurate data.
- Performs various administrative duties as assigned by management.
- Accompanies Outside Sales representatives on customer visits, assisting with gathering feedback and relationship building. (Travel may be required)
Qualifications/Skills:
- One - two years of related experience are required.

- General digital literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
Physical Demand:
- Moderate physical effort is required. Work will involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh up to 40 lbs.
