This position is responsible for processing orders received from customers, keeping inventories, keeping the daily A/R accounts status up to date, building and maintaining good relationships with customers, and introducing new products to increase sales from existing customers.

  • Handles order taking, processing, and invoicing.
  • Prepares shipping documents and schedules shipment pick-ups.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data to accounting software.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Process credit applications received from customers to set up credit terms.
  • Reviews and manages A/R status and communicates with customers to collect pending payments.
  • Estimates date of delivery to the customer, based on the knowledge of the vendor’s production and delivery schedules.
  • Assists in issuing purchase orders and placing new orders for non-stock products.
  • Communicates well with the warehouse manager and staff on daily basis, and gives clear instructions for order/shipping.
  • Sustains sales activities, proposals, and database updates.
  • Reviews and makes corrective sales actions on low-profit accounts, as necessary.
  • Monitors and evaluates activities and products of competitors, and maintains updated sales knowledge of Company products, sales policy, and operating procedures through training and personal development.
  • Assists in creating and implementing effective advertisements to boost sales.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by working closely with the Outside Sales department, building and maintaining rapport with key customers.
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate Outside Sales representatives for further development and closure.
  • Answers telephone calls, convey messages, and monitors the flow of e-mails.
  • Answers routine product questions and directs questions to appropriate personnel.
  • Updates information in CRM software.
  • Handles various administrative duties assigned by management.
  • Responds promptly to customer inquiries to determine customer needs and provides solutions, recommending products and enhancements to increase customer satisfaction and sales potential.
