Senior Information Security Specialist

APN Staffing is now accepting resumes for a Senior Information Security Specialist. Our client is hiring and adding to their IT team. This is a Direct Hire position with office hours of Monday - Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm). Salary range is $100-120K (Depending on Qualifications). Position is Hybrid, on-site upon supervisor request.
Candidates local to Arizona only, as this is not a fully remote position.
General Job Duties:
Oversees information technology security assurance programs
Reports on compliance levels and identifies non-compliance issues suspicious activities or behavior, and vulnerabilities
Creates security checks in the infrastructure that help deter hackers, spyware, and other malware from being installed on endpoints while working with internal information technology support team to mitigate detected vulnerabilities
Trains and educates staff in proper computer use and security awareness while providing tips to avoid data lass or corruption
Advises end users on security incident trends and effective counteractive measures
Creates, improves, and maintains information technology security policies, baselines, standards, and procedures
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree in Computer Science or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
3 years of relevant technology experience required; demonstrated experience with administering and securing Microsoft technologies and services, including Active Directory; OR 2 years of experience with administering network security devices and solutions, including firewalls, active monitoring, vulnerability detection and auditing tools preferred
Relevant Information Security industry certifications, (i.e., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred)
