Job Title: Industrial Sales Representative

Employer: Leading Manufacturer in the Furniture Industry
Location: Langley, BC (near Abbotsford – public transportation is not available)
Starting Date: ASAP
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (40 hours/week, flexible based on assignments)
Compensation: $50k (DOE) plus commission, benefits (after 3-month probation), paid vacation, car mileage allowance, company cell phone, and laptop
Benefits: Group Insurance (Extended Health and Dental, etc.)
Business Travel: Approximately once every 1.5 months, for 1 week per trip within North America
Main Responsibilities:
- Proactively reaching out to potential clients through phone, email, and in-person visits
- Conducting onsite customer meetings to present and demonstrate products
- Expanding sales and acquiring new clients
- Managing existing accounts and maintaining strong relationships
- Creating and tracking Individual Sales Plans (ISPs) and setting measurable goals
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis
- Preparing and submitting pricing and quotations
- Coordinating production schedules, invoicing, and shipping for orders
- Ensuring accounts receivable are maintained in good standing
- Attending and representing the company at industry trade shows
- Performing regular inventory checks and keeping accurate records
- Handling administrative tasks as needed
- Addressing customer inquiries, issues, and product concerns
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the industrial manufacturing sector
- Ability to travel to clients using your own vehicle (Class 5 Driver’s License required)
- Willingness to travel frequently to the USA
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs for inventory tasks
