Are you an experienced technician with a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance? We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team. The successful candidate will handle a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and machinery, including repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and processes while gaining experience and certification in various technical areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain flexible packaging equipment, HVAC systems, hot oil systems, pumps, motors, and drives
  • Perform welding, electrical, mechanical repairs, and installations as needed
  • Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and gas systems
  • Navigate and troubleshoot basic PLC programs, read logic, and make program adjustments
  • Perform preventive maintenance and check machinery performance
  • Install and repair electrical wiring, piping systems, and plumbing
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems
  • Use blueprints, manuals, schematics, and technical drawings for repairs and maintenance
  • Record all work activities and associated costs
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work area to meet company standards
  • Support all shifts as required, with flexible working hours

Core Competencies:

  • Experience in flexible packaging processes (printing press, lamination press, bag-making machines, slitting, and inspection machines)
  • Strong industrial mechanical background, particularly with food processing or packaging equipment
  • Ability to read and understand parts manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Must be certified in safety areas like Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Fall Protection
  • Ability to operate equipment (e.g., forklift, loader) when certified
  • Must provide own hand tools and lockable toolbox

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or Technical Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or maintenance
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to support all shifts
  • Knowledge of cGMP and work-based instructions, strong manual and computer skills
  • Welding and/or industrial electrical knowledge is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb up to 10 feet
  • Frequent standing and sitting, alternating positions
  • Must wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Exposure to moving machinery
  • Adherence to food grade requirements and safety protocols
