Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Industrial Hygienist will develop and manage annual Industrial Hygiene plans for the site.
- Perform IH activities including, but not limited to, identification, assessment and control of potential chemical, physical and biological stressors in the workplace.
- Manage exposure assessment data, including qualitative and quantitative exposure assessment documentation.
- Ensure that occupational health practices and regulatory requirements are recognized, reviewed and implemented.
- Participate in emerging issues identification, analysis and resolution
- Participate as a core member of the site ESSH team in any other capacity necessary to maintain and improve ESSH programs, policies, systems and initiatives for the site or company.
- Work with onsite medical staff to maintain medical surveillance programs based on similar exposure groups (SEGs) requirement.
- Relocation provided. $120K-$155K.
- The Industrial Hygienist will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Public Health or a closely related science/engineering field, CIH a plus.
- 7 + years of experience in the chemical manufacturing, oil refining, or similar heavy manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and health practices and standards.
- General safety program management with strong knowledge and understanding of OSHA and other industry related safety regulations required
- Certification, training and/or working knowledge of the following: OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, radiation safety
- Basic knowledge of occupational stressors to include (heat stress, chemicals, radiation, ergonomics, noise, biological hazards, etc.).
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
