Position Summary

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a diverse maintenance team in a progressive foundry. The Industrial Automation Technician will perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain and support software and hardware utilized on automated equipment including PLC and HMI
• Maintain backups for all PLC’s including upgrades and replacement as required
• Maintain, monitor and repair automated systems
• Assist plant maintenance with troubleshooting and repair of automated production equipment
• Troubleshoot PLC systems and assist with minor programing changes
• Supervise and coordinate projects involving automation & controls
• Technical support and training for operations and maintenance teams
• Order equipment and components

Position Requirements

• Electrical Engineering/309A Certified Electrician/ /PLC Programming
• Math, computer and electronics skills
• 5 years industrial experience
• Preference will be given to applicants experienced with PLC Direct, AB, Siemens and Omron PLC’s
