Guided Search Partners (GSP)

Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on trust, transparency, specialization, and long-term relationships.
We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established organization that designs and manufactures analytical instruments used throughout the food, agriculture, and laboratory markets. With decades of stability, consistent demand for its products, and a strong track record of employee retention, this company offers a work environment defined by expertise, teamwork, and long-term careers.

This position is open as a replacement, joining a small, experienced in-house service team that supports instrument performance and quality before products reach customers. The role is based on-site and follows a predictable Monday–Friday schedule, making it a strong fit for someone who values technical work without extensive travel or irregular hours.

The environment suits individuals who enjoy hands-on problem solving, precision work, and learning from tenured professionals. Many team members have built long careers here, supported by a culture that promotes from within and invests in technical development.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and service analytical instruments in an in-house environment, focusing on accuracy, reliability, and performance.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain customer instruments sent in for service—primarily smaller systems.

  • Perform quality control checks on new instruments prior to shipment to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Complete work orders accurately, document repairs, and track service activity.

  • Order replacement parts and support inventory management for service operations.

  • Collaborate closely with teammates and the Service Manager to prioritize workflow and resolve technical challenges.

  • Occasionally travel locally to support customer needs when required.

Who You Are

You’re technically curious and enjoy understanding how things work at a fundamental level. You take pride in precision, follow-through, and doing the job right the first time. Whether you’re early in your career or transitioning from a technical background, you’re motivated to learn, ask questions, and build expertise over time.

You’re comfortable working with electronics, enjoy structured problem-solving, and value being part of a close-knit team where experience is shared and respected. Stability matters to you, but so does growth.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • Background in electronics or physics through education, military training, or hands-on experience.

  • Open to recent college graduates with relevant technical coursework.

  • Ability to pass an electronics proficiency test.

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with technical documentation and procedures.

  • Organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple service tasks.

  • Interest in building long-term technical expertise within a stable organization.

Why This Role Matters

This role directly supports product quality, customer satisfaction, and the company’s reputation for reliable, high-performing instruments. Your work ensures that systems leaving the facility—and those returned for service—meet the standards customers rely on every day.

You’ll be part of a team known for tenure, technical depth, and collaboration, contributing to a business that continues to perform well in a stable, in-demand industry. For someone looking to build a lasting career in technical service, this is a strong foundation.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the Service Manager.

  • Works as part of a three-person in-house service team.

  • Collaborates closely with senior service engineers and technical peers.
