In-House Senior Counsel, Data and Security
We are hiring an AVP, Senior Counsel, Privacy & Data Security to join a growing Legal department.
Responsibilities:
- Advise best practices and compliance with privacy and data protection laws; oversee legal and regulatory aspects of data collection and use, privacy disclosures and transparency
- Provide legal support and advice to business partners
- Monitor development laws, regulations, best practices
- Conduct privacy and security risk assessments across enterprise, identifying key risks and mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
- JD degree and license to practice law in Illinois
- 6-10 years' experience at large law firm or as in-house counsel
- Understanding of federal, state and other applicable laws and regulations regarding privacy and data security
- Insurance industry experience preferred
Located in Chicago, IL
$150,000 - $200,000 plus bonuses
