An industry leader in electrical accessories in New Jersey seeks an Import & Operations Manager to work closely with a great team and offers a fantastic work life balance.

They develop innovative consumer products for national, omni-channel distribution which includes mass merchants, home improvement stores, retailers, e-commerce retailers, distributors, and direct marketers.

Some Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • This position reports to the COO
  • Develop and implement operational strategies
  • Identify and organize locations for containers from Vietnam and Hong Kong
  • Ensure inventory of finished goods
  • Generate purchase orders accordingly with pricing, lead times, inventory levels and usage
  • Ensure that all reception of materials is according to the purchase order, and notify of any discrepancies
  • Oversee customer delivery routing for containers
  • Ensure that on time delivery is met daily for all customers
  • Coordinate all inbound/outbound freight forwarders & broker’s needs (pickups, etc.)

Import & Operations Manager Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, procurement or business administration, or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of HTS codes
  • Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Experience in creating logistical efficiencies
  • Excels in maintaining inventory levels and appropriate documentation
  • Customer service-oriented; flexible and nimble in a dynamic working environment
  • Solutions driven problem solver
