Implementation Specialist (401K & Pension Plans)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Implementation Specialist to join our clients team in Bedford, NH. In this role, you will lead the onboarding process for new retirement plans and conversions, acting as the liaison between clients, advisors, recordkeepers, and internal teams. Your work will ensure a smooth and timely implementation of new 401(k) and pension plans, setting the foundation for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end implementation process for new 401(k) and pension plans, including plan design, document preparation, and system setup

• Communicate regularly with clients, financial advisors, and recordkeeping platforms to gather necessary data and ensure deadlines are met

• Analyze and interpret plan documents to configure accurate plan specifications

• Facilitate plan transitions, including asset transfers and data conversions from prior providers

• Conduct kickoff and status meetings with clients and partners to ensure alignment

• Collaborate closely with internal plan administration and compliance teams to ensure accurate setup and handoff

• Maintain thorough records of plan implementation steps and client communications

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, plan onboarding, or TPA operations

• Working knowledge of 401(k), profit sharing, and defined benefit plan structures and IRS regulations

• Familiarity with recordkeeping systems and third-party platforms (e.g., Relius, ASC, Datair, or similar)

• Strong organizational and project management skills

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Ability to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• ASPPA or other retirement industry certifications a plus
