Implementation Specialist – Records Management System (RMS)

Location: Remote – United States

About the Opportunity

Peskind Executive Search is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a rapidly growing public safety technology organization seeking an experienced Implementation Specialist to support the deployment and adoption of its Records Management System (RMS) platform.

This highly visible, customer-facing role will partner directly with law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations to successfully implement software solutions, streamline operational workflows, and guide customers through every phase of the implementation lifecycle—from discovery and configuration through training, testing, and go-live.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and configuration of RMS software solutions for public safety agencies.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, business processes, and operational requirements.
• Conduct end-user, administrator, and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Develop implementation plans, project milestones, and deployment timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, product specialists, and customer stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Assist agencies with process improvement initiatives and software adoption strategies.
• Support data validation, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and go-live activities.
• Document customer requirements, configuration decisions, workflows, and implementation deliverables.
• Provide ongoing consultation and guidance to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support implementations, training, and deployment activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience implementing or supporting Records Management Systems (RMS), CAD, Public Safety, Justice, or related government software solutions.
• Strong understanding of law enforcement operations, records management processes, and public safety workflows.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing consulting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into software configurations.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout the United States and Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing enterprise software solutions within public safety, government, emergency communications, or criminal justice environments.
• Knowledge of RMS, CAD, Mobile, Jail Management, or related public safety applications.
• Experience with SQL, reporting tools, data migration, integrations, or system testing.
• Previous experience working with law enforcement agencies, 911 centers, courts, corrections, or government organizations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
