Join a growing manufacturing organization looking for a versatile IT generalist to keep their systems, network, and end users running smoothly. You'll be the go-to resource for everything from daily helpdesk support to infrastructure planning, working closely with the team to keep technology reliable across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and secure core network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPN access.
- Monitor system and network health, proactively troubleshooting issues across servers, endpoints, and infrastructure.
- Administer user accounts and access permissions across Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Handle Windows deployment, imaging, patching, and general system maintenance.
- Provide hands-on and remote support to end users for desktops, laptops, printers, and other equipment.
- Support server and virtualization administration (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms).
- Keep network diagrams, system documentation, and SOPs up to date.
- Track IT assets and licensing, and help plan hardware refreshes and infrastructure upgrades.
- Coordinate with outside vendors on more complex or escalated technical issues.
- Support ongoing IT security and compliance efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network and systems administration.
- Solid grasp of core networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware such as Cisco or Juniper.
- Comfortable working across both Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Working knowledge of network security best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Industry certification such as CCNA, Network+, or Security+.
- Background with virtualization platforms, Microsoft 365 administration, or cloud services.
- Exposure to SQL databases or supporting business systems, ideally within a manufacturing or ERP environment.
- Some scripting ability (PowerShell or Bash) is a plus.
