GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT System Coordinator will be responsible for the regular maintenance, data backup, troubleshooting and upgrades of the IT hardware and software, telephone infrastructure as well as assisting in the implementation of IT and telecommunication projects.
Responsibilities include providing user training and support for program and hardware enhancements.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The IT System Coordinator will perform the daily functions of network maintenance and network troubleshooting for computers, laptops, printers, projectors, etc., as well as digital systems including phones and internet.
The position will provide support for the implementation of network enhancements.
The IT System Coordinator will assist in the planning and implementation new facility data and telecom systems as well as providing training and technical support to network and telecom system users as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regular Maintenance of IT Network 50%
Project support (generated locally and by Company HQ) 20%
IT/PC System support 10%
Telecom system support 10%
Other Projects 10%

CORE COMPETENCIES

1.) Understanding of Microsoft Operating System and other software for PC utilized by Company.
2.) The ability to diagnose and correct computer hardware and software problems.
3.) Understanding of Microsoft Server networking system software and associated system software.
4.) Knowledge of telecom system operation and programming.
5.) Communication with HQ IT team(Japanese:Speaking/Conversation & English:Fluent)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MSCE, experience may be considered in place of degree.

EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years network management, e-mail administration, telecommunications, Windows softwares, hardware troubleshooting and maintenance in a business environment.
Bilingual English (Frequency) Japanese (Speaking)

BUSINESS TRAVEL:
This position requires travel 5% of the time.
