I.T. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
MONTGOMERY, AL

Job Duties and Responsibilities
:

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and email systems
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage physical and virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • Perform server administration tasks in a mixed environment, including user/group management, file permissions, Group Policy, file replication, and resource monitoring
  • Maintain, deploy, and support internal infrastructure, including client computer systems, servers, switches, routers, and ASAs
  • Provide help desk and IT support as needed
  • Additional duties assigned based on changes to business needs
  • Provides analysis of internal information technology systems, identifies problems, and uses sound judgment to generate alternatives and make recommendations.
  • Travel within Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2– 4 years of IT (System Admin) related experience.
  • Bachelors degree is a plus.
  • IT Certificates are a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Experience maintaining IT networks (Cisco routers, switches, maintaining network connections, create tunnels, etc.)
  • Experience with a wide range of IT techniques, including but not limited to Windows Desktops, Windows Servers, Active Directory.
  • Experience handling low level Help Desk duties.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with IT management.
  • Ability to resolve issues or create a course of action in a timely manner.
