Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Operational Technology Specialist to join our team. This semi
entry-level position is ideal for individuals with 2-5 years of experience in operational technology, warehouse
management systems, logistics, or manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role
in maintaining and optimizing our technology infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other
operational technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues related to logistics and
manufacturing processes for our Shipping, Production & Maintenance departments.
Monitor and analyze system performance to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
Provide technical support and hands-on training to staff on the use of technology tools and systems.
Participate in the development and execution of technology-related projects aimed at improving
operational workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, ensuring uninterrupted access to critical
resources.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of forklift-mounted technology to ensure seamless
operations and minimal downtime between both warehouse locations.
Coordinate with IT Manager to install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software
applications, and peripherals as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in operational technology to recommend
improvements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; A degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, but
not required.
Relevant IT certifications are advantageous (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified
Professional).
A+ certification is extremely preferred.
2-5 years of experience in operational technology, warehouse management systems, logistics, or
manufacturing environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using and troubleshooting WMS and other operational technology systems.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with others are vital for collaborating with cross-
functional teams and providing support to staff.
Flexibility to work autonomously or collaboratively as needed to achieve project goals.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Preferred Skills:
Basic electrical and mechanical understanding.
Experience with network cabling and infrastructure requirements.
Familiarity with IoT devices and their integration into operational systems.
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to operational technology.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in a non-air-conditioned warehouse environment in Texas. Temperatures
can vary significantly in the summer and winter.
