What you will be doing as the IT Supervisor, Mainframe Systems Development:

  • Team Leadership & Performance Management: Oversee hiring and performance management; set clear expectations and ensure team members are productive and focused; allocate resources effectively and provide technical guidance; foster a culture of professionalism and high ethical standards; conduct regular staff meetings for project updates and communication.
  • Process & Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to governance standards, methodologies, and processes; collaborate with key stakeholders; identify and escalate critical issues promptly; maintain efficiency in time management and work delivery.
  • IT Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices; participate in organizational forums and continuous improvement initiatives; adapt to and support the company's culture and technological advancements.
  • Technical Work & Project Execution: Support project delivery through hands-on involvement in requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation when needed.

What you will need as the IT Supervisor, Mainframe Systems Development:

  • Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • IBM Mainframe Mastery: Your proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies is unparalleled. From COBOL tPL/I, VSAM to DB2, CICS to the File Aid suite, XPEDITER, and beyond, you're fluent in the language of mainframe systems.
  • Deep Understanding of DXC's Systems: Your in-depth knowledge of DXC's Vantage One and/or wmA systems spans multiple product lines. You're not just familiar with these systems; you're intimately acquainted with their intricacies and functionalities.
  • JAVA: While not mandatory, proficiency in JAVA programming would be a definite plus. Your versatility in multiple programming languages adds another dimension to your skill set.
