Position Summary
Bull City Talent Group's direct client has an immediate need for a strategic Finance Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex SAP and non-SAP finance technology initiatives. This individual will serve as a key leader in driving cross-functional programs that impact critical finance operations, systems, and processes.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO), a strong understanding of broader finance business processes, and a proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end project delivery. This role requires exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct engagement with executive-level stakeholders.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale finance transformation programs involving both SAP and non-SAP systems
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment of project goals and delivery timelines
- Define and drive project scope, timelines, resource plans, and budgets for multiple concurrent initiatives
- Provide leadership across the full project lifecycle - from initiation and planning to execution, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates to executive sponsors and steering committees
- Ensure finance business processes are well-understood, documented, and translated into technology solutions that meet compliance and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and compliance teams to ensure projects are delivered in a GxP-compliant and audit-ready manner
- Identify risks and issues proactively and implement mitigation strategies
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on SAP Finance (FI/CO) and finance-related systems
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or migrations
- Demonstrated experience delivering finance projects in life sciences or pharmaceutical environments
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GxP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, and financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives across SAP and third-party platforms
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience interfacing with executive leadership
- Ability to lead cross-functional global teams, both on-site and remote
- Strong project governance and documentation skills
- PMP certification preferred, though not required
