POSITION SUMMARY

· IT Manager, Electrification Systems, is responsible for supporting all electrification related IT systems and capabilities with process development as well as associated IT tools.

· The IT Manager will work internally within the IT organization to ensure Electrification System’s projects, software renewals, and operational requirements are coordinated across the responsible IT organizations.

· The IT Manager will assist the IT Director, Electrification by participating and providing input to the interview of new candidates to complete staffing model

· The IT Manager must understand the corporate product development strategy to ensure processes and associated systems/tools effectively support the strategy and enable global product development.

· The IT Manager will oversee the Business Analysts and Programmer Analysts responsible for the development of business cases for new processes and systems, considering the costs, benefits, and risks of development activities.

· They will also be responsible for gathering and reviewing requirements and facilitating process development for IT systems supporting all Electrification business functions including Sales, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, HR, Aftermarket Sales, and Program Management and will work with the IT M&A team to coordinate IT integration activities for all Electrification facilities.

· The IT Manager will also work with the Enterprise Architecture team to establish strategic IT strategy and roadmaps needed to support the Electrification business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Relationships

· Understands Electrification key product development strategies and business initiatives to make recommendations for IT solutions and process improvements that will align with the global strategy

· Works with senior Electrification leaders/staff to provide guidance on the following:

· BEV specific engineering capabilities and data requirements, including DevOps tool chain adoption.

· BEV software deployment tools and data requirements

· ERP, Quality, Sales, MES, Program Management, Finance, and Vehicle Run Support systems and gaps.

IT Strategy

· Determines opportunities for Electrification improvement using information technology and advocates these opportunities to the Electrification leadership as well as the IT leadership

· Assists the IT Director, Electrification with application roadmaps to facilitate long range IT capability planning and budgeting

Application Development

· Oversees the Business Analysts, Programmer Analysts and Application Architects as needed for the Electrification function.

· Assists the IT Director, Electrification with determining the need for IT systems to support all business processes

· Assists the IT Director, Electrification with the selection of commercial software packages to meet the functions’ needs

· Responsible for requirements, analysis and process design for custom software development where commercially available alternatives are not suitable

· Assists with determining appropriate techniques for segmentation of intellectual property (e.g. engineering data, drawings, etc.), including compliance with ITAR restrictions (USA only)

Program and Project Governance

· Serves as a functional staff member for PMO led programs/projects delivering Electrification systems

· Assists in supplier selection and management, including contract negotiations, as requested

General IT Management

· Leads the Electrification software renewal process to proactively ensure business continuity

· Understanding of IT financial management, sufficient to interpret and explain key IT spending categories, trends, and opportunities to Electrification leadership

· Understanding of IT Program and Project Management as well as Application Development general principles and techniques

· Understands and coordinates within the I.T. organizational structure on a world-wide basis for Electrification Systems requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a related discipline, such as Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or Management or 8+ years of relevant professional experience. Masters degree in relevant discipline is highly preferred.

Experience

5-7 years experience in engineering, process improvement or information technology related to complex manufacturing industries (automotive, aerospace, etc.). Experience in engineering systems and data (CAE, CAD, CAM, PLM, etc.). Exposure to global product development and concurrent engineering techniques preferred. Experience with embedded software development, firmware flashing, product configuration management and associated tools preferred. Experience with integration of Operations systems with shop floor systems required.

Language Skills

· English (fluency in reading, writing, and speaking); other language skills helpful

· Basic financial skills; knows how to use and interpret metrics such as NPV, ROI, and IRR; knows how to develop and interpret IT investment business cases

· Strong technology acumen; familiar with key concepts around data, applications, and infrastructure

· Strong understanding of systems requirements gathering and management techniques

· Familiarity with engineering data and data management techniques

· Strong process design skills; understands process analysis/design tools and techniques

· Understanding of major DevOps suites and embedded firmware deployment tools

· Familiarity with Value Analysis/Value Engineering processes and tools

· Familiarity with relevant electrification product standards, such AutoSPICE and ISO62626

· Stakeholder management skills; builds strong relationships with business and IT executives

· People management skills; fosters good relationships with team members

· Strong presentation skills; creates appropriate oral and written communications for a variety of audiences

· Excellent time management and organizational skills; attention to detail
