Boasting an amazing company culture and a like-minded executive team, they are now seeking an Intellectual Property Administrative Specialist to prepare and organize convention patent application documents for the U.S and Canada.
As an Intellectual Property Administrative Specialist, you will be responsible for drafting and editing Canadian and U.S. Office Action responses. You will prepare and file formal documents such as Assignments, Declarations, etc., keeping up to date on changes in patent law. You will prepare documents for Request for the Global Patent Prosecution Highway (GPPH) including monitoring the processing and docketing of patent and trademark deadlines. You will review and report official correspondence to clients and proofread patent applications, amendments, and other documents.
The Ideal Candidate will have 2+ years of U.S., Canadian and International intellectual property administration, with the demonstrated ability to grasp complex situations; adapt and learn quickly. The candidate will be organized, independent, and capable of self-directing their work while displaying proactive and strategic thinking. They will be proficient in M.S. Office and Adobe with strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate will have experience in various I.P. management software (Foundation I.P.) and Patent Office web services, with strong leadership qualities.
