OUR CLIENT has an immediate need for a Lab Director! MUST have CA license.....OPEN TO TEMP TO PERM also !

Job Summary: Responsible for overall administrative and clinical performance of the laboratory, also occasionally perform CLS functions. Predominately day shift but need to be willing and able to occasionally fill in for a night shift as needed.

Education:

• Must have a current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.

Experience:

• Five years' experience as a clinical lab supervisor or comparable experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Computer skills desirable (word processing, spreadsheet, lab management programs, Electronic Health Records).
• Financial knowledge skills desirable (budgeting, operating costs/profits, equipment acquisition forecasting, rate setting methodologies).
• An understanding of the mechanical operations of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting ability desirable.
• Expertise in phlebotomy desirable.
• Successful experience in working with the public is preferred.
