HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Duties
- Administer employee guidelines/policies per terms of the employee handbook.
- Act as a primary point of contact for employees, handling employee inquiries and resolving issues related to workplace conflict, performance, and interpersonal relationships.
- Lead DEI activities in the area of recruitment, culture, etc. for both plants.
- Walk the floor on a regular basis on all shifts to solicit input, answer questions.
- Assists with employee activities that foster a meaningful connection to the company and to further enhance working relationships (i.e. luncheons, picnics, giveaways).
- Provide HR Director with updates on employee morale and issues.
- Familiar with local and federal employment law and guidelines.
- Analyze organization gaps and develops actions plans to implement as needed.
- Build relationships with supervisors and managers.
- Recruitment: coordinate with managers, place ads on job boards, etc.
- Assist with employee relations issues, including meeting with employees, minor investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Guide managers on setting performance goals and conducting appraisals.
- Identify training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills.
Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years HR experience/familiar with employment law, employee relations, performance management and personnel administration practices.
- Must be organized, multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office/Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
