Human Resources Manager
Job Description
The HR Manager’s responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process (ensure the company attracts, hires, develops and retains qualified employees within the allocated budget), shape employer’s branding strategy, designing company processes and policies in close coordination with the rest of the HR team.
Furthermore, the HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local HR legal practices, evaluating employee programs, recommending improvements to employee relations policies and making sure that all employee-related policies align with the company’s goals and established labor regulations.
To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with HR technology, including payroll systems and HRIS. You will be the sole HR practitioner based at the office close to Pleasant Hill, California. Once your twice a year, you will be required to travel to one of their offices in Europe.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Solid understanding of labor legislation
BSc degree in Human Resources Management or Organizational Psychology, MSc degree in HR or relevant certification is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices and talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with the relevant employment law
People Management Skills and experience
High-level knowledge of immigration legislation a plus
Excellent communicator – communicate at all levels and adopt a flexible & consultative approach
Extensive knowledge of labor legislations in particular California labor law
