Summary
Under the direction and supervision of Director of HR and Administration, the HR Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, daily operations, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Core responsibilities include talent acquisition, onboarding of new hires, employee relations and investigations, training development and compliance with HR-related legal requirements, benefits administration, and development of HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Process

Posts new recruitment job postings on company’s website, job boards, recruiters, as appropriate and conducts screening interviews of potential candidates

Updates/creates job descriptions as needed
-
For semi-finalist candidates conducts assessments of candidates using Predictive Index (PI) behavioral assessment application; extend written offers with job descriptions

For accepted offers, initiate the electronic onboarding process with Paycor HRIS, background screening, and new hire orientations
-
Completes the onboarding transition to Paycor HRIS following new hire orientation.
Benefits Administration

Oversees and administers the company employee benefits programs (health benefits, voluntary programs, 401(k) plans, etc.)

Launches benefits enrollment for eligible new employees

Manages workers compensation claims and monitors various leaves of absence programs with interactive dialogues with employees and managers

Prepares census data reports for various benefits programs as needed
Supports management and employees with performance management, employee relations, and may perform investigations, as appropriate. Reports to management with investigation findings and recommendations.

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations; advises managers and assists in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Administrator for the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) performance management system via the Ninety.io platform. Responsible for accountability chart updates, launch of mid-year and annual performance review via the Ninety.io platform
Manages other employees of the department and responsible for cross-training of HR functions as warranted

Oversees semi-monthly payroll process and ensures file-feed from/to all the vendors.
Plans, organizes and administers all activities of the department; assigns daily goals, tasks, and assignments, as assigned

Assists in developing various human resources plan and procedures for all US-based personnel. Create desk procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP) for HR-related tasks/duties on shared driveDevelopment of HR policies and procedures, employee handbook, regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws

Assists in adjusting strategies and maintains handbook on policies and procedures. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Maintains organizational charts of corporate and all divisions/departments; employee directory on Ninety.io
Training and development programs

Administers web-based training/development via Cornerstone-on-Demand or other formal training workshops as needed to meet regulatory compliance requirements. Identifies training needs and/or individual management training/coaching needs
Management reports
-
Establishes and maintains department records and reports.

Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Monthly and quarterly management reports (headcounts with breakout details, new hires/terminations, etc.)
Performs any other duties and work on projects, as assigned by management.
Skills

Previous experience with web/cloud-based HRIS and Payroll processing systems

Possess excellent customer service skills

Proficient with MS Office, strong email skills (Outlook, Gmail)

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience and a proven track record in a human resource supervisory role

PHR or SHRM-CP designation a plus

Candidate will have breadth and depth of knowledge in Human Resources in the following areas (Employee Relations , Benefits Administration , Talent Acquisition,Compensation, Payroll , HRIS and other web-based system,Training & Development,Legal and Compliance)
