Your responsibilities

This role will work closely with the HR Manager and HR Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of the Human Resources Department. This opportunity is ideal for someone with an educational background in HR who is just beginning their career or someone who has previous HR experience but is looking to move into a more strategic role.

This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with the days split between our office in Poway and their home office. Some of the responsibilities you will hold are:

  • In partnership with the HR Manager, manages full cycle recruiting and selection of candidates for all non-exempt hiring. Includes processing requisitions, posting openings using applicant tracking system, reviewing candidate applications, conducting phone screens, in-person interviews, offers, rejections.
  • Ensures a stellar candidate experience during all touch points with the Company during the sourcing, interviewing, offer and on-boarding stages.
  • Administers and guides new staff through the pre-employment and on-boarding process.
  • Works with outside temporary employment agencies to fill approved hourly temporary employee needs.
  • Serves as the HR Business Partner for a small group of assigned employees and departments to resolve employee relations issues, identify training needs, and support development planning.
  • Assists the Human Resource department in the tracking and maintaining of HR related processes utilizing shared online resources including spreadsheets and other systems (e.g., Smartsheet).
  • Assists with the maintenance and auditing of personnel files with a focus on compliance.
  • Fields and supports employee requests of an HR nature.

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business or demonstrated combination of education, training and experience.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource processes. Prior experience in recruiting is preferred but not required.
  • Must possess and demonstrate very strong customer service skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and adjust to changing schedules and priorities; maintain organization in a changing environment, and maintain flexible attitude & approach towards assignments.
  • Must be highly proactive, possess a very strong work ethic and has proven experience taking ownership to anticipate needs.
  • Moderate knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint with ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
