Overview:
A fast-growing company in the Public Safety technology sector is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join its team full-time. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to drive impact across the full employee lifecycle. The position requires strong proficiency in Paycom, full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and personnel management.

This hybrid role is primarily based in Lake Forest, IL, with limited travel to other locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters across the organization.

  • Design, implement, and manage HR strategies and policies aligned with overall business goals.

  • Lead and support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process.

  • Oversee employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and investigations.

  • Promote and nurture a positive work environment and company culture.

  • Manage the performance review and employee development process.

  • Administer and manage compensation, PTO, and benefits programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws (AAP/EEOC/OFCCP).

  • Utilize HRIS tools, particularly Paycom, for data management, onboarding, and reporting.

  • Develop and report on key HR metrics for leadership decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist.

  • Hands-on experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms.

  • Strong background in recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement.

  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

  • Working knowledge of employment/labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Ability to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or HCI certification preferred.
