Our client in the Port of Spain area is seeking a Human Resource Intern for a 6-month period

Working conditions:
Monday to Friday. Flexible hours; may be required to work after hours or on scheduled off days to meet deadlines

HR Intern Scope

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Implementation

  • Attend HRIS implementation meetings to understand system processes and requirements

  • Coordinate with HR team members to compile and submit information for configuration sessions

  • Assist with preparing and submitting files to the Workday project team

  • Participate in system testing to ensure alignment with company requirements

Communications & External Relations

  • Assist with visual layout and design of company brochures

  • Organize and format text, images, and graphics while ensuring brand consistency

  • Coordinate with employees to collect content (photos, text, technical information)

  • Draft and revise communications and promotional materials based on feedback

  • Coordinate with local vendors for print and digital materials

  • Prepare materials for Energy Conference and Business Week

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for:

    • Energy Conference

    • Business Week

    • Town Halls

    • Engagement Run

    • Job Fairs

  • Provide weekly status updates and ensure timely completion of tasks

Required Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Marketing (Communications specialization preferred)

  • Experience in communications, marketing, or systems implementation is an asset

  • Strong organizational skills; process-oriented and detail-focused

  • Tech-savvy, creative, and comfortable using software

  • Good communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Experience with Workday or similar HR systems is an asset
