Business Development Executive – Home Builder Services
Summary:
Seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to grow a survey business targeting production and large-volume home builders in the greater Houston, TX market.
Responsibilities:

Aggressively prospect and build a new business pipeline targeting key decision makers in the production home builder industry (e.g., vice presidents, purchasing managers, area managers, vendor coordinators, superintendents).

Utilize traditional lead generation activities including cold calling, referrals, digital outreach, networking, and industry event participation.

Develop strategic sales plans and maintain a robust sales pipeline/funnel for individual prospects.

Consistently meet or exceed designated sales targets.

Maintain accurate client information and sales activity in CRM, including regular reporting on top opportunities and sales cycle progression.

Prioritize territory management for optimal market penetration and profitability, focusing on outbound, face-to-face interactions.

Build and leverage a network of channel and complementary service partners.

Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations, both in-person and digitally.

Provide exceptional customer service and manage account-level relationships.

Manage special projects and related research as needed.

Perform all duties safely, ethically, and professionally to meet business needs.
Skills and Experience:

5+ years of business development experience targeting the home builder industry, or equivalent experience building relationships with key industry decision makers.

Proven track record of exceptional sales or industry performance (e.g., exceeding quota, awards).

Formal sales or customer service training.

High energy, self-motivation, and a proactive approach.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform under pressure, respond positively to coaching, and commit to self-development.

Proficient in MS Office; CRM experience preferred (Zoho a plus).

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Ability to recognize sales opportunities, buying signals, and effectively close deals or move to next steps in the sales process.
