With 80 beds and a passion for excellence, our client is seeking a House Supervisor to take their patient care to the next level.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nursing Supervisor coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization in a cost-effective manner. Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The Nursing Supervisor represents the organizational leadership across all venues on a 24 hour basis and collaborates to make decisions and act on behalf of the leadership team.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Masters in Health Care Business Administration considered.
- Current personnel without a BSN are required to enroll in an academic program promptly in order to complete degree requirements within 3 years.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- One to two years management/leadership experience required.
- Three to five years progressive management/leadership experience preferred
- Previous experience as a Charge Nurse, Coordinator, Supervisor, or Director preferred.
Related work experience is required to effectively provide organizational leadership, coordinate resources, and make complex decisions.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current licensure in the state of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact licensure.
- Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- Specialty certification preferred (i.e. RN-BC).
