Hospice Executive Director

Seeking an experienced and dynamic Hospice Executive Director to lead our comprehensive hospice programs. This role is pivotal in overseeing business and clinical operations, fostering business development and census growth, while also ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This position offers an opportunity to significantly impact and enhance the quality of end-of-life care services, providing leadership to a dedicated team committed to exceptional care and support.

Salary: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the entire operations of the hospice program.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Steer growth strategies to increase patient census effectively.
  • Manage budget creation, monitoring and financial performance including profit and loss responsibilities to maintain fiscal health of the operation.
  • Perform continuous quality assessment and improvement to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, and families to ensure patient-centered care.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of executive level leadership or administrative experience in a hospice or related healthcare setting.
  • Proven hospice operations management experience.
  • Familiarity with health care compliance and regulations.
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and fiscal oversight.
  • Demonstrated capability in strategic planning and business development.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Director of Clinical Operations or higher.
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation bodies.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and healthcare informatics.
