We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our hospice care teams as the Director of Nursing. This integral role involves overseeing our hospice services to ensure compassionate, efficient, and quality care for patients and their families. The successful candidate will be adept at managing high patient volumes and multiple teams, thriving in a dynamic environment that demands exemplary leadership and organizational skills. Salary: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the interdisciplinary teams including Nursing, Social Work, and more, ensuring adherence to the company's policies and high standards of care.
- Oversee patient care services and ensure that the patient and family needs are consistently met in a timely and respectful manner.
- Serve as the agency's alternate Administrator, overseeing administrative and management functions in the absence of the Executive Director/Administrator.
- Coordinate and communicate patient information with the business office and other agencies involved in patient care.
- Promote a positive and professional workplace culture and maintain strong relationships with staff, families, physicians, and other agencies.
- Facilitate continuous improvement of services and staff professional development.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of employment.
- Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare is required, with a preference for those with hospice care background.
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare management, including 1-3 years in a hospice supervisory role.
- Proficiency in computer use and experience with hospice EMR systems.
- High integrity, including the maintenance of confidential information such as personnel and patient records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with overseeing large patient census and multiple care teams.
- Proven background in improving care services and patient satisfaction in a hospice setting.
- Advanced certification in hospice and palliative nursing (CHPN) is an asset.
