Horticulture Plant Sales Manager

This role will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue and market expansion.
- Leading, training, and motivating the sales team to exceed targets.
- Building and maintaining relationships with wholesalers, nurseries, landscapers, and garden centers.
- Identifying new business opportunities to grow market share and customer base.
- Representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Collaborating with marketing and production teams to align sales strategies with company goals.
Expectations will include:
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Providing regular reports on crop status, inventory, and market trends.
- Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements that align with company policies.
- Staying ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.
- Working cross-functionally to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer success.
A qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the horticulture, agriculture, or nursery industry.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing key accounts.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about the horticultural industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with sales forecasting and CRM tools.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
- Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Compensation: Will depend on experience but targeting around $95K
