🕒 Start on 1st shift for training; shift differential applies once moved to 2nd shift

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Hone & Lap Operator to perform precision ID/OD honing and lapping. You will work with both manual and machine-based tools to meet tight tolerances in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate honing and lapping machines to achieve specified dimensions and finishes

• Perform ID (Inside Diameter) and OD (Outside Diameter) lapping using fine-grit compounds

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and machining instructions

• Monitor and adjust machine performance for optimal results

• Work with materials to ensure surface finish and dimensional accuracy

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Experience with honing, lapping, or grinding – ideally all three

• Manual honing experience considered

• Experience using Sunnen honing machines a plus

• Familiarity with using fine grit compounds for lapping operations preferred
