The Town of Picture Butte is excited to welcome a new family doctor to our community, and we are looking for a person in the following role to support the doctor administratively to ensure an exceptional quality of care for our citizens:

Medical Office Assistant (MOA)

Located in the Town of Picture Butte

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and respond to patients’ enquiries both in-person and by telephone
  • Schedule appointments and update patient records
  • Keep accurate records
  • Collect payment for services not covered by insurance
  • Escorting patients to exam or treatment room and preparing patients for physician
  • Schedule referral appointments
  • Clean and prepare the exam room between patient visits
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office space, including waiting areas and examination room
  • Perform blood pressure readings using (automated BP monitor), temperature readings, height and weight measurements as ordered by the physician
  • General administrative and office duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A desire to provide superior patient-focused service with compassion and empathy
  • Medical Office Assistant Qualification is an asset
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Dependable and motivated
  • Experience with Med Access or an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) System is an asset
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work over-time when needed

We Offer:

  • $21-25/hour, based on experience
  • Health and Dental Benefits offered after 6 months
  • Full-Time: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with ½ hour lunch, overtime as required
