Substations Design Engineer

Focus:

  • Develop and design electrical systems for mission-critical facilities
  • Conduct power system studies and analysis for complex infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs into larger systems
  • Provide expert consultation on power distribution, generation, and backup systems
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and client specifications
  • Contribute to the development of innovative power solutions for high-demand environments
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Liaise with clients to understand requirements and present design solutions
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in power systems

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with appropriate professional engineering certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical system design for critical infrastructure
  • Expertise in high-voltage power systems and alternative energy technologies
  • Strong understanding of power generation and distribution for high-reliability environments
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Experience with on-site power generation systems and selection criteria
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in system design
