Help Desk
Company is looking for someone who has IT college education and or direct experience with an IT Vendor and or end-user. The company is a cloud based IT infrastructure company with the hardware and software out on the cloud. The company does things like backups, managed services, hosted services, forensics services, security, telephone and or VOIP. The company will also do IT consultant services. They will also do specialized applications for the legal and document related type of industries. When need be they will do disaster recovery for businesses that have experienced damage from the environment. The help desk person must have a good overall basic IT services knowledge and be able to get on line and learn new things to help the customers that they have out on the cloud. At first a trainee type with IT education will be on the phone with the customers to find out the problem the customer is experiencing and they then find an appropriate in-house tech type to work on the customers problem. One of the main duties of the Help Desk person is to be able to learn how they can work up to the point they can start fixing the customers problems. It would be good for someone that is willing to put the study in to get certificates that will validate them as a qualified tech. The company will help with the certificate program. Someone that is a good learner will be very important, this is the kind of job that you will always be learning new technology. The company is really committed to pushing the technology envelope. Someone with very good verbal communication skills is really important, they will have to verbally and in writing be the go-between for the in-house techs and the customers. Good listening skills will be very important as well. Someone that likes helping others solve problems is the overriding skill set.
