Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Flatbed / HH Terminal Manager for one of the nation’s best known, well respected provider of flatbed and heavy haul transportation services. With a fleet of more than 300 trailers includes lowboys, stretch floats, flatbeds, dry vans, and intermodal chassis, their specialized heavy haul equipment can accommodate loads in excess of 1,000,000 pounds. This diversity allows the organization to meet the total transportation needs of our customers.
The Heavy Haul Sales Manager is responsible for increasing revenue through targeted sales and customer relationship efforts. Candidate must establish and maintain direct relationships and promote company transportation solutions to new customers in a wide array of market sectors, as well as nurture existing accounts. Responsible for professionally representing the company always, contacting clients on a very regular basis to maintain existing business and offer company services for new business, providing RFQ’s and closing new business that services the customer’s needs and meets profitability and company quality standards.

Background Required:
- Heavy Haul Transportation Industry Sales (5 years minimum)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of technology (Social Media, Industry Software, etc.)
- Effective selling techniques via phone and electronic communication
- Customer relationship strategies
- Ability to identify profitable business opportunities
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
- Education: High School Diploma
- Location: Houston, TX
- Strong geographical knowledge (of competition, shippers/receivers, economic trends)
- Container / Drayage Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent communication and relationship building at all organization levels
