Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Heavy Haul Director of a transport and logistics carrier providing heavy haul & over-dimensional services.
The Heavy Haul Field Service Representative will be responsible for working with heavy haul operations and supervisors of supporting departments to ensure customer satisfaction with current and future transportation needs. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Review the project scope to determine the necessary capacity requirements to meet the customer’s needs; Work with internal and external customers to meet customer demands; Capture and consolidate shipper and receiver requirements for each project; Provides hands-on guidance for best safety practices while loading, unloading, and accessing project sites; Complete accurate job site coordination of trucks to ensure that product flow in and out meets customer demands; Review and oversee appropriate capacity as assigned to projects; Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided regarding any shipment (Track & Trace); Maintaining relationships established with carriers to ensure capacity and monitor service standards; Communicating effectively with carriers, customers, and all team members; Work with the PM team to update and maintain transportation management and operation systems; Prioritizes tasks and workload to focus on quality and service performance issues; Provide complex problem resolution and swiftly implement the appropriate solutions; Utilize specialized industry and company computer systems and procedures, reference materials/documentation, and personal industry knowledge to process client shipments; Maintain regular, timely, and consistent attendance at work; Provide documented reports for all site and route surveys; Perform other duties as assigned by the Heavy Haul Director. Travel up to 95%.

Background Required:
  • Asset Based Heavy Haul / Oversize Trucking Operations (5 years minimum)
  • Knowledge of Oversize / Over-Dimensional Route Planning and Permitting
  • Strong customer service (from a logistics background involving phone experience, pricing, and quotes)
  • Federal Compliance Knowledge (DOT, FMCSA, HOS, e-logs)
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Load optimization and lane management / knowledge of US geographical regions
  • Industry Related Software AS400, Monday, etc.
  • Residence: Remote USA (SE / Mid-West)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Knowledge of specialized multi-axle trailer configuration, loading and securement (RGN, Steps Decks, Perimeter Frames, etc.); mechanical knowledge about equipment in general
