Heavy Equipment Technician

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $35-$50/hour + Benefits

About the Company:

Our client is a supplier of repair services for heavy duty equipment in the construction industry in the Durham Region. They primarily focus on servicing large construction vehicles and a variety of earth moving equipment.

They are growing at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a licensed Heavy Equipment Technician to their team!

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of vehicles
• Assist with repairs to the following: earth work equipment, excavators, bull dozers and articulated dump trucks
• Work directly alongside co-workers to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner
• Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting engine issues including repairs and overhauls
• Assist with cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possess a Red Seal License (310T or 421A preferred)
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience working on heavy construction equipment
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to supply own hand tools for completing tasks (larger equipment will be provided)
