About the Company:

Our client is a leading provider of battery recycling solutions throughout North America. They are growing their team at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a certified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to their dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on powered lift trucks and heavy equipment systems, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and structural components
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and safely
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage parts required for maintenance tasks
  • Participate in technical training and development programs to stay current with industry standards and technologies
  • Ensure full compliance with all Ministry of Environment (M.O.E.) and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Consistently wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety footwear with metatarsal protection, eye and hearing protection and respirators

Requirements:

  • Must possess prior experience in servicing heavy equipment
  • Mechanic license (310T, 310S, or 421T) considered to be a strong asset
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy components and working in confined spaces
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Technologically proficient with modern diagnostic tools and systems
